The Ministry of Health (
Minsa) indicates that in the last 24 hours in Panama a total of 656 new cases of
COVID-19 and 8 deaths have been registered.
The head of Epidemiology of the
Minsa, Leonardo Labrador, reported with this the total number of accumulated
coronavirus infections in the country rises to 448,924 and the number of deaths to 6,970, maintaining a lethality of 1.6%.
He adds that 9,964 cases remain active, of which 9,227 remain in isolation at home and 279 are in hospital hotels.
In addition, 346 patients remain hospitalized in the ward and 112 are in intensive care units.
He adds that in the last hours 10,287 new tests have been carried out to detect cases of
COVID-19 and the positivity rate is 6.2%.
For this Thursday in Panama it is reported that approximately 431,990 people have recovered from the
coronavirus.
