After reporting a total of 637 new cases of
COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, Panama raised its number of infections to 376,237, according to the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health.
Meanwhile, 3 new deaths and an update of previous dates were reported, totaling 6,361 deaths due to this virus in the country. The case fatality rate remains at 1.7%.
11,010 new tests were carried out to detect
COVID-19, for a percentage of positivity of 5.7%.

Of the total active cases, 5,663 people are in isolation, of which 5,328 are at home and 335 in hotels; while 395 patients are hospitalized, 343 of them in the ward and 52 in intensive care.

COVID-19, the use of masks continues to be essential as they represent protection above 80%.
