The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported that Panama registered 599 new cases of COVID-19, raising to 342,019 the total number of infections in the country.
According to the epidemiological report for this Tuesday, March 2, in the last 24 hours 12 new deaths have been registered and 1 death from previous dates was updated, increasing deaths from
coronavirus to 5,871.
The case fatality of the virus is 1.7%.
To date, 8,418 tests have been applied, for a percentage of positivity of 6.6% with a decreasing trend, and 328,100 patients recovered from
COVID-19 have been reported in the country.
Active cases total 8,048. In home isolation, 6,852 people are reported, of which 6,537 are at home and 315 in hotels.
In addition, there are 1,196 hospitalized and 1,026 of them are in the ward and 170 remain in intensive care units.
