Panama reports 588 new COVID-19 cases and 4 deaths in 24 hours

Health authorities report that the country reaches 370,043 COVID-19 infections and accumulates 6,292 deaths.
Panama reported this Friday, May 14, some 588 new cases of COVID-19 , which raised the accumulated infections to 370,043.

The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health ( Minsa ) detailed that in the last hours there were 4 new deaths; which increased to 6,292 deaths from coronavirus in the country. The case fatality of the virus is 1.7%

The number of recovered is presented in 358,670 and active cases increased to 5,081.

Regarding this last statistic, the authorities specified that there are 4,495 people confined to their homes and 252 are staying in hospital hotels.

While in hospital wards there are 282 patients and 52 are confined in intensive care units victims of COVID-19.

In the last 24 hours, the Minsa has applied 10,155 tests, and maintains a positivity percentage of 5.7%.
