Panama reports 566 new COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths in 24 hours

Panama registered this Monday, February 22, some 566 new cases of coronavirus in the last hours, which brings the number of accumulated infections to 337,087.
The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health of Panama (Minsa) also reported that in the country there were about 13 new deaths and one death was updated, increasing to 5,756 deaths due to this virus.

The case fatality of COVID-19 in Panama is 1.7%.

Regarding the number of recovered in the country, it is set at 321,439 and active cases are reported at 9,892.

Regarding this figure, it is detailed that there are 8,186 people confined to their homes and 367 have stayed in hospital hotels.

While 1,144 patients have been detained in hospital wards and 195 are kept in intensive care units after being infected with the virus.

In the last 24 hours, some 10,191 tests have been applied, which yielded a 5.5% positivity.
