Panama reports 562 new COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health reported that Panama accumulates about 368,930 cases of coronavirus and 6,285 deaths.
The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health ( Minsa ), 12 May 2021, detailed that in the last hours there were 3 new deaths; which increased to 6,285 deaths from coronavirus in the country. The case fatality rate of the virus is 1.7%.

The number of recovered is presented at 358,044 and active cases are set at 4,601.

Regarding this last statistic, the authorities specified that there are 4,037 people confined to their homes and 213 are staying in hospital hotels.

In hospital wards there are 303 patients and 48 are confined in intensive care units, victims of COVID-19.

In the last 24 hours the Minsa has applied 9,659 tests, and maintains a positive percentage of 5.8%.
