Panama reports 525 new COVID-19 cases and 1 death in 24 hours

In addition, the Minsa reported that deaths from COVID-19 rose to 6,288 and that there are 4,809 active cases.
Panama reports this Thursday, May 13, that about 525 new cases of COVID-19 have been registered , which brings the accumulated infections to 369,455.

The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health ( Minsa ) also details that in the last hours there have been 1 death and 2 of previous days are added, raising to 6,288 deaths from this new coronavirus in the country. The lethality of the virus is 1.7%.

So far some 358,358 people have been recovered from this virus and active cases are set at 4,809.

From this last figure, it stands out that there are 4,274 people confined to their homes, while another 213 are staying in hospital hotels.

While in hospital wards there are 277 confined patients and 45 remain in intensive care units.

In the last hours in the country some 10,115 tests have been carried out, and a percentage of positivity of 5.1% is maintained.
