Panama registered in the last hours about 7 new deaths, which bring to 6,321 the accumulated deaths due to COVID-19
The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health (
Minsa) of this Friday, May 21, revealed that in Panama infections by
COVID-19 increased to 373.30 after registering about 508 new cases.
While deaths in the country rose to 6,321, after reporting 7 deaths in the last hours. This reflects that the case fatality rate of the virus is 1.7%.
It was also detailed that some 361,111 patients have recovered and another 5,876 remain as active cases.
So far 5,151 patients are in isolation at home and 302 in hotels, while 366 are in hospital wards and in the intensive care unit there are 57 confined patients.
It should be noted that at the cut of the report, some 9,547 new tests had been carried out, which reflect a positivity of 5.3%.
