The Minsa also indicated that there are 4,153 active COVID-19 cases in the country and 356,852 people have recovered.
The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health (
Minsa) this Saturday, May 8, highlights that in Panama about 508 new cases of
COVID-19 have been registered, which brings the accumulated infections to 367,270.
The report also details that in the last 24 hours there have been 6 new deaths, increasing to 6,265 deaths from this new
coronavirus in the country.
The case fatality of the virus is 1.7%.
So far, some 356,852 people have recovered from this virus and active cases are set at 4,153.
From this last figure, it stands out that there are 3,583 people confined to their homes, while another 183 are staying in hospital hotels.
While in hospital wards there are 332 confined patients and 55 remain in intensive care units.
In the last hours in the country, some 9,992 tests have been carried out, and a positive percentage of 5% remains.
