Panama reports 505 new COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths in 24 hours

The number of accumulated cases of coronavirus in Panama rose to 341,420 for this Monday, March 1, 2021, while the number of deaths increased to 5,858.
The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reports that for today a total of 505 new infections of COVID-19 and 13 new deaths are counted.

The case fatality rate remains at 1.7%.

To date, 8,245 cases are registered that remain active, of which 6,704 are in home isolation in houses and 339 remain in hospital hotels.

On the other hand, 1,202 patients are hospitalized, of which 166 are in intensive care units and 1,036 are in the ward.

According to the epidemiological report, some 327,317 people have recovered to date.

In the last hours a total of 5,121 tests have been carried out to detect COVID-19, maintaining a positivity percentage of 9.8%.
