Panama reports 497 new COVID-19 cases and 5 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health of Panama ( Minsa) reports for March 25 that 497 new cases of COVID-19 were detected, which increased accumulated infections to 352,579.
The epidemiological report indicates that there were 5 deaths and 3 of previous days were updated, which raised to 6,073 deaths from coronavirus.

The virus maintains a case fatality rate of 1.7%.

Regarding the numbers of those recovered, this increased to 41,476 and it was added that active cases are set at 5,030.

From this statistic it is revealed that 4,151 people are confined to their homes and another 195 are housed in hotels.

So far, there are 579 patients in hospital wards and another 105 are in intensive care units after being infected with coronavirus.

In the last 24 hours in the country, some 9,692 new tests have been carried out, which yielded a positivity of 5.1%.

People in Panama are very tolerant people. They allow other people to wear a mask - even if they are healthy.
