The Minsa indicates that Panama accumulates 6,768 deaths from COVID-19 and 430,444 infections.
The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health of Panama (
Minsa) reported this Monday, July 26, that some 495 new cases of
COVID-19 were detected in the country, raising the accumulated infections to 430,444.
In addition, the
Minsa indicates that in the last 24 hours 8 new deaths were reported and 1 from previous days was updated, which increased the deaths from
coronavirus to 6,768. The virus maintains a lethality of 1.6% in the country.
So far 410,678 recovered cases have been reported and there are 12,998 active cases in the country.
From this last figure, it is broken down that 11,845 people are confined to their homes and 380 have been accommodated in hospital hotels.
Regarding patients hospitalized in wards, it was detailed that there are 649 and another 124 are confined in intensive care units, after having contracted the virus.
In the last 24 hours the authorities applied some 5,939 new tests, which yielded a positivity of 8.3%.
