In the last 24 hours, Panama registered a total of 490 new cases of
COVID-19 , raising the number of infections to 370,533, as reported by the Ministry of Health (
Minsa).
According to the epidemiological report for this Saturday, May 15, 4 new deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths to 6,296 from
coronavirus in the country.
The fatality of the virus is 1.7%.
358,938 recovered patients are also reported.
To date, 8,742 tests were applied, for a percentage of positivity of 5.6%.
Active patients total 5,299; 4,956 people are reported in home isolation, of which 4,704 are at home and 252 in hotels. There are 343 hospitalized and 289 of them are in the ward and 54 are in the ICU.
