Panama reported on Thursday, March 11, 474 new cases of COVID-19, which increased the number of accumulated infections to 346,775.
In the epidemiological report presented by the Ministry of Health (
Minsa), it was also detailed that in the last 24 hours 13 new deaths have been registered and two deaths from previous days were updated, which brings the death toll to 5,972.
The virus has a case fatality rate of 1.7%.
So far in the country some 334,256 people have been reported recovered from this new
coronavirus and it was reported that there are currently about 6,547 active cases.
From this statistic it is specified that 5,512 people are confined to their homes and another 195 stay in hospital hotels.
In addition there are 732 patients in hospital wards and 108 are confined in intensive care units.
In the last hours some 9,275 new tests were carried out and these show a positivity of 5.1%.
