The Ministry of Health of Panama (Minsa) reported 474 new cases of COVID-19 and 13 deaths in the last 24 hours.
With these figures, the country reached 107,284 accumulated cases and 2,285 deaths from this virus, for a case fatality rate of 2.1%.
In the last hours, 4,543 new tests were carried out to detect
COVID-19 for a 10.4% positivity. In total, 442,249 tests have been carried out, of which 331,415 have been negative.
According to the epidemiological report of the
Minsa of this Monday, September 22, there are a total of 21,681 active cases and a total of 83,318 recovered patients.
Of the active patients, there are a total of 20,853 in isolation, of which 20,478 are at home and 375 in hotels, while 828 are hospitalized, of them 707 in the ward and 121 in intensive care.
Regarding the number of cases and deaths according to age group, 16,195 cases and 21 deaths were reported in patients under 20 years of age; between 20 and 39 years there are 44,366 cases and 117 deaths; between 40 and 59 years, 32,307 cases and 490 deaths were registered; between 60 and 79 years there are 11,990 cases and 1,086 deaths; and in those over 80 years old, 2,426 cases and 571 deaths are reported.
