With a total of 454 new cases of COVID-19, Panama reported 351,667 total number of infections, according to the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health, 23 March 2021.
In addition, 7 new deaths were reported, and a death from previous days is updated, which total 6,060 deaths due to this virus in the country.
The case fatality rate remains at 1.7%.
8,987 new tests were carried out to detect
coronavirus, for a percentage of positivity of 5%.
There are a total of 340,493 recovered patients and 5,114 active cases.
Of the total active cases, there are 4,413 people are in isolation, of which 4,219 are at home and 194 in hotels; while 701 patients are hospitalized, of them 595 in ward and 106 in intensive care.
