Panama reports 450 new COVID-19 cases and 7 deaths, Rt is at 0.93

To date, Panama has 7,479 active cases and 442,947 recovered patients, according to the epidemiological report of the Minsa.
The Ministry of Health ( Minsa ) of Panama notified, 31 August, 2021, that 450 new infections of covid-19 were detected in the last 24 hours, raising the total accumulated cases to 457,487.

Meanwhile, 7 deaths were reported for a total of 7,061 deaths due to this disease in the country. The fatality is 1.5%.

9,423 tests to detect covid-19 were applied in the last hours. The positivity is at 4.7%.

To date, 7,479 active cases and 442,947 recovered patients have been counted, according to the epidemiological report of the Minsa.

Of the total number of infected people 7,103 are isolated, of them 6,865 at home and 238 in hospital hotels.

While 376 patients are hospitalized, of which 279 are in the ward and 97 in intensive care units.

On the other hand, the Minsa reported that the Rt or effective reproduction index of covid-19 is 0.93.

"Corona is probably not the cause of death for 80 percent of the official Covid deaths. For the majority of reported corona deaths, it is completely open what they died of."

That is the opinion of the German Prof. Dr. Bertram Häussler. He is a doctor and sociologist and teaches as an honorary professor at the Technical University of Berlin.

If this knowledge is transferred to Panama, there are only 1412 real corona deaths here. The fatality is only 0.3%. These are negligibly small values.
