Panama reports 448 new COVID-19 and 4 deaths in 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, Panama registered 448 new cases of covid-19 and 4 deaths due to this disease, reported the Ministry of Health (Minsa) through its epidemiological report, 1 April.
The entity indicated that a new death from previous dates was updated.

With these new reported figures, the country accumulates a total of 355,499 cases and 6,119 deaths.

The case fatality rate is 1.7%.

9,733 tests to detect coronavirus were applied in the last hours, and the percentage of positivity is at 4.6%.

Currently, there are 5,053 active cases and 344,327 recovered patients.

Of the total active cases, 4,538 patients are isolated, of them 4,321 at home and 217 in hospital hotels.

While the hospitalized number 515, of which 449 are in the ward and 66 in intensive care units.
