Panama reports 447 new COVID-19 cases and 4 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported that in the last hours in Panama a total of 447 new infections of COVID-19 have been detected, with which the number of accumulated cases has increased to 355,051, for this Wednesday, March 31 .
Likewise, the number of deaths due to the new coronavirus in the country rose to 6,114 after 4 new deaths will be counted, in addition, 1 new death from previous dates is updated.

The case fatality rate remains at 1.7%.

The Minsa adds that a total of 512 patients remain hospitalized in the ward and 72 are in intensive care units.

On the other hand, 5,033 cases remain active, of which 4,230 remain in isolation at home and 219 are in hospital hotels.

As of this Wednesday, it is reported that approximately 343,904 people have recovered.

The report adds that in the last hours 11,314 new tests have been carried out to detect COVID-19 and the positivity rate is 3.9%.
