Panama reports 439 new COVID-19 cases and 4 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health of Panama (Minsa) reported that a total of 6,797 cases of COVID-19 remain active.
For this Friday, September 3, in Panama there are 439 new infections of COVID-19 , which rises to 459,077 the accumulated number of cases.

In addition, the country registers a total of 7,073 deaths due to coronavirus, with 4 new deaths and the fatality rate is 1.5%.

The Ministry of Health of Panama (Minsa) reports that a total of 6,797 cases of COVID-19 remain active, of which 6,181 remain in isolation at home and 251 are in hospital hotels.

On the other hand, 263 patients are hospitalized in the ward and another 102 are in intensive care units.

The epidemiological report reflects that to date some 445,207 people have been recovered from the coronavirus.

The Minsa adds that in the last 24 hours a total of 8,501 new tests have been carried out to detect COVID-19, and the positivity rate in the country is currently 5.1%.
