Panama reports 427 new COVID-19 cases and 2 deaths in 24 hours
The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported that for this Thursday, April 8, in Panama there are 427 new infections of COVID-19 , which brings the accumulated number of cases in the country to 357,704.
In addition, today there are a total of 6,152 deaths due to coronavirus , with 2 new deaths, and 2 deaths from previous dates are updated and the case fatality rate remains at 1.7%.
To date, some 347,060 recovered people are reported, while 4,495 cases remain active.
The epidemiological report indicates that of the active cases, a total of 3,791 remain in isolation at home and 207 are in hospital hotels.
On the other hand, it indicates that 433 patients are hospitalized in the ward and 64 patients are in intensive care units.
The Minsa adds that in the last 24 hours, 9,237 new tests have been carried out to detect COVID-19 and a positivity percentage of 4.6% remains.
