Panama reports 425 new COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths in 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, Panama reported 425 new cases of covid-19 and 3 deaths from this virus, reported the Ministry of Health (Minsa), 16 March.
With these new figures, the total number of infections in the country rose to 348,580 and the number of deaths to 6,009.

The case fatality rate is 1.7%.

A death from previous dates was updated.

9,148 tests to detect coronavirus were applied in the last hours, so the positivity is at 4.6%. To date, a total of 2,030,053 tests have been applied.

According to the epidemiological report from Minsa, there are 5,561 active cases and 337,010 recovered patients.

There are 4,818 patients in isolation, of which 4,624 are in their residences and 194 in hospital hotels; while 743 are hospitalized, of them 646 in ward and 97 in intensive care units.
