The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported on 14 April 2021 that Panama registered 395 new cases of COVID-19, raising to 359,516 infections of the virus in the country.
According to the epidemiological report for this Wednesday, April 14, 2021, in the last 24 hours there have been 4 new deaths, increasing deaths from
coronavirus to 6,177.
The case fatality of the virus is 1.7%.
To date, 9,084 tests have been applied, for a percentage of positivity of 4.3% and 349,318 patients recovered from
COVID-19 have been reported in the country.
Active cases total 4,021. In home isolation, 3,556 people are reported of which 3,347 are at home and 209 in hospital hotels.
While 465 patients are hospitalized and of them 404 are in the ward and 61 remain in the intensive care units (ICU).
The
Minsa reiterates to the population to reinforce biosecurity measures and apply the
vaccine, since it is one of the prevention tool against
COVID-19.
