After reporting a total of 394 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, Panama raised its number of infections to 358,098, according to the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health (Minsa), April 9.
Meanwhile, 3 new deaths were reported, and 1 death from previous dates was updated, totaling 6,156 deaths due to this virus in the country.
The case fatality rate remains at 1.7%.
10,369 new tests were carried out to detect
COVID-19, for a percentage of positivity of 3.7%.
According to the
Minsa, there are a total of 347,483 recovered patients and 4,459 active cases.
Of the total active cases, 3,972 people are in isolation, of which 3,778 are at home and 194 in hotels; while 487 patients are hospitalized, of them 423 in ward and 64 in intensive care.
