Panama reports 388 new COVID-19 cases and 6 deaths in 24 hours

In the last hours, 6 new deaths were registered, which bring the accumulated deaths due to COVID-19 to 7,015.

The epidemiological report of this Monday, August 23, highlights that in Panama some 388 new cases of COVID-19 have been registered, which brings the accumulated infections to 452,986.

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) also details that in the last 24 hours there have been about 6 new deaths, increasing to 7,015 deaths from this new coronavirus in the country. The lethality of the virus is 1.5%.

So far, some 436,866 people have recovered from this virus and active cases are set at 9,105.

From this last figure, it stands out that there are 8,468 people confined to their homes, while another 250 are staying in hospital hotels.

While in hospital wards there are 281 confined patients and 106 remain in intensive care units.

In the last hours in the country, some 5,428 new tests have been carried out to detect COVID-19, which have yielded a positivity of 7.1%.

And of course they don't report when the deaths occur with "vaccinated" people.
