The Ministry of Panama registered 348 new cases of COVID-19 after applying some 9,345 tests in the last 24 hours.
The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health of Panama (
Minsa ) reported this Saturday, April 17, that in the last hours some 348 new cases of
COVID-19 have been detected, which bring the accumulated infections by
coronavirus to 360,597.
The report also reveals that deaths from this virus rose to 6,187, after 2 new deaths.
The case fatality rate of
COVID-19 in Panama remains at 1.7%.
The
Minsa also indicates that 350,347 people have been recovered in the country and another 4,063 remain as active cases.
From this last statistic, it is detailed that 3,478 people are confined to their homes and another 211 stayed in hospital hotels after being infected with
COVID-19.
In addition, it is indicated that about 317 patients are confined in hospital wards and another 57 are in intensive care units.
Panama has applied in the last 24 hours some 9,345 new tests to detect the
coronavirus, yielding a positivity of 3.7%.
