Panama reports 373 new COVID-19 cases and 6 deaths in 24 hours

Currently a total of 232 patients are hospitalized in the ward and 72 are in intensive care units due to COVID-19.
For this Thursday, September 16, in Panama , a total of 463,459 accumulated cases of COVID-19 are counted, of which 373 are new infections.

In addition, the number of confirmed deaths from the new coronavirus rose to 7,166, with a total of 6 new deaths registered in the last 24 hours and 1 death from a previous date is updated.

The fatality rate in Panama is 1.5%.

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported that there are 4,327 cases that remain active, of which 3,863 remain in home isolation at home and 160 are in hospital hotels.

On the other hand, a total of 232 patients are hospitalized in the ward and 72 are kept in intensive care units.

The Minsa adds that in the last hours 7,615 new tests have been carried out to detect COVID -19 and the positivity rate is 4.8% in the country.

He adds that for today 451,966 people who have recovered from COVID-19 are reported in Panama.
