The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported on 27 April, 2021 that Panama registered 368 new cases of COVID-19, raising to 363,533 infections of the virus in the country.
The
Minsa reiterates to the population to reinforce biosecurity measures and apply the
vaccine since it is one more prevention tool against
COVID-19.
According to the epidemiological report for this Tuesday, April 27, 2021, in the last 24 hours there have been 3 new deaths and 1 death from previous dates has been updated, increasing deaths from
coronavirus to 6,216. The case fatality of the virus is 1.7%
To date, 9,059 tests have been applied, for a percentage of positivity of 4% and 356 new recovered have been reported for a total of 353,403 patients recovered from
COVID-19 in Panama.
Active cases total 3,914. In home isolation, 3,567 people are reported, of which 3,393 are at home and 174 in hospital hotels.
While 347 patients are hospitalized and of them 283 are in the ward and 64 remain in the intensive care units (ICU).
