Panama reports 359 new COVID-19 cases and 3 new deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health reported 359 new cases of COVID-19 detected in the last hours in Panama
Panama reported this Wednesday, April 21, 359 new cases of COVID-19, which raised the accumulated infections to 361,678.

The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) detailed that in the last hours there were 3 new deaths and an updated death from previous days; which increased to 6,196 deaths from coronavirus in the country. The lethality of the virus is 1.7%.

The number of recovered amounted to 351,582 and active cases are set at 3,900.

Regarding this last statistic, it was specified that there are 3,323 people confined to their homes and 204 are staying in hospital hotels.

While in hospital wards there are 313 patients and 60 are confined in intensive care units.

In the last 24 hours the Minsa has applied 9,072 tests, and maintains a positivity percentage of 3.9%
