With a total of 342 new cases of COVID-19 , Panama raised its number of infections to 353,839, according to the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health.
In addition, 8 new deaths were reported, and 2 deaths from previous dates were updated, totaling 6,100 deaths due to this virus in the country.
The case fatality rate remains at 1.7%.
5,923 new tests were carried out to detect
coronavirus, for a percentage of positivity of 5.7%.
There are a total of 342,774 recovered patients and 4,965 active cases.
Of the total active cases, there are 4,366 people are in isolation, of which 4,151 are at home and 215 in hotels; while 599 patients are hospitalized, of them 508 in ward and 91 in intensive care.
