After reporting a total of 389 new cases of
COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, Panama raised its number of infections to 366,364, according to the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health.
Meanwhile, 3 new deaths were reported, totaling 6,255 deaths from this virus in the country.
The case fatality rate remains at 1.7%.
According to the
Minsa, 8,708 new tests were carried out to detect
COVID-19, for a percentage of positivity of 4.4%.
The report reveals that there are a total of 356,144 recovered patients and 3,965 active cases.
Of the total active cases, 3,601 people are in isolation, of which 3,415 are at home and 186 in hotels; while 364 patients are hospitalized, of them 306 in ward and 58 in intensive care.
To date, Panama has applied more than 700 thousand doses of
vaccine against
COVID-19, of which 686,515 have been from the pharmaceutical company
Pfizer, and 14,296 from
AstraZeneca.
