Panama reports 278 new COVID-19 cases and 7 deaths in 24 hours

With a total of 278 new cases of COVID-19 , Panama's total number of infections rise to 347,919, according to the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health, Sunday 14 March.
In addition, 7 new deaths were reported, totaling 5,994 deaths due to this virus in the country.

The case fatality rate remains at 1.7%.

5,220 new tests were carried out to detect coronavirus, if which 5.3% were positive.

There are a total of 335,850 recovered patients and 6,075 active cases.

Of the total active cases, 5,282 people are in isolation, of which 5,083 are at home and 199 in hotels; while 793 patients are hospitalized, of them 689 in ward and 104 in intensive care.
