The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Panama increased to 361,319, after this Tuesday, April 20, the country registered 275 new infections.
The Ministry of Health (
Minsa) reported that there are also 3 new deaths due to the
coronavirus, raising the total number of deaths to 6,192, and the case fatality rate remains 1.7%.
The epidemiological report details that currently 320 patients are kept in intensive care units and 57 people are hospitalized in the ward.
The
Minsa points out that there are also 351,228 people recovered to date.
On the other hand, a total of 3,899 cases remain active, of which 3,315 remain in home isolation and 207 are in hospital hotels.
The
Minsa adds that in the last hours 8,778 new tests have been carried out to detect
COVID-19 and the positivity rate is currently 3.1%.
