Panama reports 265 new COVID-19 cases and 5 deaths in 24 hours

The number of hospitalized is 293, of which 232 are in the ward and 61 in intensive care.
This Friday, September 24, Panama registered 265 new cases of COVID-19 , for a total of 465,736 accumulated infections, according to the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health (Minsa).

In the last 24 hours, 5 deaths were registered, to raise the total number of deaths from COVID-19 to 7,197, the lethality of this virus remains at 1.5%.

In addition, 7,368 tests were applied and the percentage of positivity is 3.5%.

The number of active cases due to COVID -19 is 3,763, of which there are 3,470 in home isolation; 3,330 at home and 140 in hotels.

The number of hospitalized is 293, of which 232 are in the ward and 61 in intensive care.

The Minsa invites the population not to lower their guard and to continue applying biosecurity measures.
