Panama reports 246 new COVID-19 cases and 2 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported that Panama registered 246 new cases of COVID-19, raising to 354,085 infections of the virus in the country.
According to the epidemiological report for this Monday, March 29, 2021, in the last 24 hours there have been 2 new deaths, in addition, 1 death from a previous date is updated, increasing deaths from coronavirus to 6,103.

The case fatality rate of the virus is 1.7%.

To date, 4,491 tests have been applied, for a percentage of positivity of 5.4% and 343,057 patients recovered from COVID-19 have been reported in the country.

Active cases total 4,925. In home isolation, 4,328 people are reported, of which 4,110 are at home and 218 in hotels.

While 597 patients are hospitalized and of them 504 are in the ward and 93 remain in the intensive care units (ICU).
