Panama reports 223 new COVID-19 cases and 5 deaths in 24 hours

The number of accumulated cases of COVID-19 in Panama rose to 356,073 for this Saturday, April 3, 2021, while the number of deaths increased to 6,131.
For today, a total of 223 new coronavirus infections and 5 new deaths are counted , with a fatality rate of 1.7%.

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reports that 493 patients are hospitalized, of which 63 are in intensive care units and 430 are in the ward.

According to the epidemiological report, some 345,120 people have recovered to date.

On the other hand, there are 4,822 active cases, of which 4,100 are in home isolation in houses and 229 remain in hospital hotels.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 3,876 tests have been carried out to detect COVID-19, maintaining a positivity percentage of 5.7%.
