The Ministry of Health of Panama (Minsa) reported this Monday, March 22, that some 222 new cases of COVID-19 were detected, which increased infections to 351,213.
The daily epidemiological report indicates that there were about 8 deaths, which raised to 6,052 deaths from
coronavirus.
The virus maintains a case fatality rate of 1.7%.
Regarding the numbers of those recovered, this increased to 339,961 and it was added that active cases are set at 5,200.
From this statistic it is revealed that 4,272 people are confined to their homes and another 213 are housed in hotels.
Regarding ward hospitalizations, it was revealed that there are 616 patients in detention and another 99 are in intensive care units after being infected with
COVID-19 .
In the last 24 hours in the country some 4,486 new tests have been carried out, which yielded a positivity of 4.9%.
