The Ministry of Health of Panama (Minsa) reported in its epidemiological report for this Saturday, September 5, that in the last 24 hours there were 12 new deaths from COVID-19, which brings the death toll to 2,075.
The case lethality of the virus remains at 2.2%.
It was added that about 709 new cases of this
coronavirus were detected after the application of 5,412 new tests; This increases the accumulated infections to 96,305.
The report indicates that some 69,223 have recovered in the country and another 25,007 cases remain active.
Regarding these, it was specified that 23,368 people are kept in isolation in their homes and another 398 are kept in confinement in hospital hotels.
Regarding hospitalizations, 1,091 are kept in wards and 150 remain in intensive care units.
