Panama reports 198 new COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths in 24 hours

3,988 new tests to detect covid-19 were applied in the last hours. The positivity is 4.9%, informed the Minsa.
On 26 April, 2021 The Ministry of Health (Minsa) of Panama reported 198 new cases of covid-19 and 3 deaths due to this disease in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections to 363,165 and the number of deaths to 6,212.

According to the epidemiological report of the Minsa, the case fatality rate is at 1.7%.

3,988 new tests to detect covid-19 were applied in the last hours. The positivity is 4.9%.

To date, 3,906 active cases and 353,047 recovered patients have been reported in Panama, Minsa reported.

Of the total number of infected people, 3,547 are isolated, of them 3,367 in their residences and 180 in hospital hotels.

While, 296 patients infected with Covid-19 are in the ward and 63 in intensive care units.
