Panama reports 164 new COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths in 24 hours

The number of hospitalized is 216, of which 175 are in the ward and 41 in intensive care.
This Saturday, October 16, 164 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in Panama, for a cumulative total of 470,162 infections, according to the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health ( Minsa ).

On the other hand, 6,420 tests were applied and the percentage of positivity is 2.5%.

The number of active cases is 2,368; of those there are 2,152 in home isolation; 2,052 at home and 100 in hotels.

In the last 24 hours, 3 deaths were registered, to raise the total number of deaths to 7,291, this indicates that the lethality of this virus remains at 1.5%.
