The Minsa reports that the country accumulates 467,861 infections and 7,244 deaths due to COVID-19
Panama reported 121 new cases of
COVID-19 for this Monday, October 4, and these brought the accumulated infections in the country to 467,861.
The report of the Ministry of Health (
Minsa) also indicated that in the last hours 6 new deaths were registered and 7,244 accumulated deaths increased. The lethality of the virus in Panama is 1.5%.
Some 457,585 people have recovered from this virus in the country and active cases are set at 3,032.
From this last statistic, it is highlighted that there are 2,689 people confined to their homes, while another 103 are staying in hospital hotels.
While in the hospital wards there are 194 confined patients and 46 remain in the intensive care units.
In the last hours in the country, some 7,648 new tests have been carried out to detect
COVID-19, which have yielded a positivity of 3.4%.
