Panama reports 1,201 new COVID-19 cases and 8 deaths in 24 hours

According to the epidemiological report of the Minsa to date, 11,369 active cases and 379,858 recovered patients are counted in Panama.
In the last 24 hours, Panama registered 1,201 new cases of covid-19 and 8 deaths due to this disease, reported the Ministry of Health ( Minsa ).

With these new figures, the number of accumulated cases of covid-19 in Panama amounts to 397,727 and the number of deaths to 6,500. The lethality of the virus is 1.6%.

The epidemiological report of the Minsa indicates that a death of a previous date was updated.

13,947 tests to detect covid-19 were applied in the last hours. The positivity is 8.6%.

To date, 11,369 active cases and 379,858 recovered patients have been counted.

Of the total active cases, there are 10,748 patients in isolation, of which 10,383 are at home and 365 in hospital hotels.

While 621 patients are hospitalized, of which 530 are in the ward and 91 in intensive care units.
