Panama reports 1,077 new COVID-19 cases and 7 deaths in 24 hours

In total, Panama accumulates 396,526 cases of covid-19 and 6,491 deaths due to this disease, according to the epidemiological report of the Minsa.
The Ministry of Health ( Minsa ) of Panama notified 1,077 new cases of covid-19 in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of infections to 396,526.

Meanwhile, 7 deaths due to this disease were registered in the last hours, for a total of 6,491 deaths. The case fatality rate is at 1.6%.

A deceased of a previous date was updated, said the Minsa.

14,117 new tests were applied to detect COVID-19. The positivity is 7.6%.

To date, 11,081 active cases and 378,954 recovered patients have been counted.

According to the epidemiological report of the Minsa, of the total of active cases, there are 10,472 patients in isolation, of them 10,109 at home and 363 in hospital hotels.

While 609 patients are hospitalized, of which 526 are in ward and 83 in intensive care units.
