According to the Ministry of Health, Panama accumulates 387,127 cases of COVID-19 and 6,439 deaths.
Panama reported this Saturday, June 12, about 858 new cases of
COVID-19, which raised the accumulated infections to 387,127.
The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health (
Minsa ) detailed that in the last hours 10 new deaths were raised and 2 deaths from previous days are updated; which increased to 6,439 deaths from
coronavirus in the country. The case fatality rate of the virus is 1.7%.
The number of recovered is presented at 371,597 and active cases are set at 9,091.
On this last statistic, the authorities specified that there are 8,231 people confined to their homes and 399 are staying in hospital hotels.
While in hospital wards there are 396 patients and 65 are confined in intensive care units victims of
COVID-19.
In the last 24 hours, the
Minsa has applied 13,536 tests, and maintains a positive percentage of 6.3%.
