Panama registers 688 new COVID-19 cases and 7 deaths in 24 hours

According to the epidemiological report of the Minsa, 19 July, Panama accumulates a total of 423,366 cases of covid-19 and 6,710 deaths.
The Ministry of Health (Minsa) of Panama notified 688 new cases of covid-19 in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of infections to 423,366.

Meanwhile, 7 new deaths were reported for a total of 6,710 deaths due to this disease in the country. The fatality is at 1.6%.

7,217 tests to detect covid-19 were applied in the last hours. The positivity is at 9.5%.

To date, Panama has 13,448 active cases and 403,208 recovered patients, according to the epidemiological report of the Minsa.

Of the total active cases, 12,686 infected patients are isolated, 12,318 of them at home and 368 in hospital hotels.

While 762 patients are hospitalized, of which 628 are in ward and 134 in intensive care units.
