Panama registers 682 new COVID-19 cases and 20 deaths in 24 hours

With a total of 682 new cases of covid-19, Panama raised its number of infections to 339,383, according to the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health, 25 February.
In addition, 20 new deaths were reported, and 1 death from previous dates was updated, totaling 5,810 deaths due to this virus in the country.

The case fatality rate remains at 1.7%.

9,909 new tests were carried out to detect coronavirus, for a percentage of positivity of 6.8%.

There are a total of 324,156 recovered patients and 9,417 active cases.

Of the total active cases, there are 8,229 people are in isolation, of which 7,888 are at home and 341 in hotels; while 1,188 patients are hospitalized, of them 1,016 in ward and 172 in intensive care
