The Minsa indicates that Panama accumulates 377,428 infections and 6,369 deaths due to COVID-19.
For this Saturday, May 29, Panama reported some 574 new cases of
COVID-19, which raised the accumulated infections to 377,428.
The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health (
Minsa ) detailed that in the last hours there were 4 new deaths; which increased to 6,369 deaths from
coronavirus in the country.
The case fatality rate of the virus is 1.7%.
The
Minsa also reports 364,783 recovered patients and 6,276 active cases.
Regarding this last statistic, the authorities specified that there are 5,864 people confined to their homes and 340 are staying in hospital hotels.
While in hospital wards there are 364 patients and 48 are confined in intensive care units victims of
COVID-19.
In the last 24 hours the
Minsa has applied 10,130 tests, and maintains a positivity percentage of 5.6%.
