In the last 24 hours, Panama registered a total of 419 new cases of COVID-19, raising the number of infections to 360,249, as reported by the Ministry of Health (Minsa).
According to the epidemiological report for this Friday, April 16, 2 new deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths to 6,185 from
coronavirus in the country.
The case fatality rate of the virus is 1.7%.
350,134 recovered patients are also reported.
To date, 10,727 tests were applied, for a percentage of positivity of 3.9%.
Active patients total 3,930, 3,576 people are reported in home isolation of which 3,365 are at home and 211 in hotels. There are 354 hospitalized and 297 of them are in the ward and 57 in the ICU.

COVID-19 and to continue with biosafety measures, such as the use of a mask and face shield.
