After reporting a total of 402 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, Panama raised its number of infections to 345,236, according to the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health, 8 March.
Meanwhile, 11 new deaths were reported, totaling 5,934 deaths from this virus in the country. The case fatality rate remains at 1.7%.
4,225 new tests were carried out to detect
coronavirus, for a positivity percentage of 9.85%.
There are a total of 332,219 recovered patients and 7,083 active cases.
Of the total active cases, 6,263 people are in isolation, of which 6,030 are at home and 233 in hotels; while 820 patients are hospitalized, of them 703 in the ward and 117 in intensive care.
