Panama registers 323 new COVID-19 cases and 5 deaths in 24 hours

The patients who have managed to recover total 354,094 since the first case occurred in Panama in March 2020. The case fatality rate from COVID-19 is 1.7%.
In the last 24 hours, Panama registered a total of 323 new cases of COVID-19, raising the number of infections to 364,218, as reported by the Ministry of Health (Minsa).

According to the epidemiological report for this Thursday, April 29, there have been 5 new deaths in the last 24 hours, which brings the number of deaths to 6,227 from coronavirus in the country. The lethality of the virus is 1.7%.

354,094 recovered patients are also reported.

To date, 8,556 tests have been applied, for a percentage of positivity of 3.7%.

Active patients total 3,897, 3,562 people are reported in home isolation, 3,390 of which are at home and 172 in hotels. While the hospitalized number 335 and of them 269 are in ward and 66 in Intensive Care Units (ICU).
